ive noticed that many people are moving over here in the next few month. Also noticed that many are bringing pets. Just in case life here is not as you expected, Please keep aside funds to get your animals back, dont go through the heartache of re homing ,leaving them. Having said that i wish you all a happy life here

I couldn't agree more - and if they do bring their animals, would they please have them neutered and/or spayed before arrival.........

Just had to have my beautiful cat put to sleep, she damaged her back legs in a fall,3 weeks in the Vets and 500TL later she was getting no better once we brought her home.

Took her back 3 days later and watched her drift off into a peaceful sleep after 3 medicines was administerd to her.

So sad really but could not watch her trying to pull herself around with just her front legs.

Lili i know hwere you are coming from, and i know all that you do, and i take my hat of to you, quite a remarkable woman if i may say so...

Omaintenace ..that soo sad poor little thing but she wa a lucky one to have the care from you, it breaks my heart to think of all the poor animals that fall ill with no one to care for them . I tried 2 years ago to catch a feral with broken back and flies laying eggs on its hind quaters...no luck ..still haunts me now. I even asked my husband to put a rock on its head to save it suffering, poor thing , i just wanted its misery to end.

Rowlo , whilst i can understand that circumstances are different......i find it hard to grasp why, when selling properties, household goods etc ....people will leave their pets here, i did it myself and went back penniless....i wasnt being noble, i just could not leave my dog to fend for itself....we have too many strays here and this adding to the population merely scuppers chances for strays :(

What a beautiful cat 0maintenance !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! He looks well loved, one of the lucky ones.

I love cats and had two in the UK. They died a few years before we decided to spend more time here, but I can't resist feeding some of the cats here. There is one that looks like yours, but not as beautiful and well cared for. He can't miau(not sure how to spell this, I think the German is getting in the way). i was considering catching him and having him spayed. Is that expensive here? There is a vet in Yenierenköy.

Moxie, you sound worse than me. Thank you for your kind comments. My last lodger is on her holidays thanks to a lovely friend I met on here. Then she goes to her new home. That one was the most beautiful and the greatest nature of any of the 27 dumped on me. I can of course understand peoples circumstances. We have not had a good time and since closing the restaurant its been so hard. Would I leave them NEVER. My family want me back and think Im nuts. I have been on face book and as I signed a petition to stamp out animal cruelty Im inundated daily. These stories make me cry , the cruely that goes on by the owners. There is something called BSL which I didnt know thats what my staffi is. I probably wouldnt be able to get him back even if I had the money. This has caused all these people to drown, maime their dogs in the USA. I see the physologial damage caused when pets are left and its not nice to watch any animal pine and become bewildered. Its soul destroying. I admire you for what

you have gone through . What can we do. I know people have told you to stop and think but I think the points you raise are very valid. These criters are not disposable. You cant love and leave them. They trust you, would give their life for you. Read my 10 commandments x

i agree i am a animal fanatic...ive seen so many terrible things, dogs caught in bear traps , an old turkish woman trying to bash it to death with a spade!!! omg....i even put poisoned cats on the mayors doortstep...yes i am over the top, but believe me, i prefer these creatures to the many...dare i say it fat drunk , cockey brits ,they think they are above us all ...only to become poor ..pack up then go leaving us their falsified commitments behind, i know i will get blasted for that ...but im am really committed to promoting, the idea ........please make funds available for taking animals back home instead of pisssing it up against the wall !!!!..living a nice life ...then ...oh does any one want my dog ?????

Lili..i understand that some have unfortunate circumstances.........so did i , and i took my dog....within 6 months i had everything and more....where there is a will there is a way....im sure ....ive spent loads of money to Kar for strays, its neverending !

Really... i do understand there may be unfortunate circumstances, but when i read threads ..have to sell up and go back...well wheres the money ?? i cant beleive that they all go back penniless??

This forum has become like wanted/sell ads in uk rags Chriswife, please make sure you leave a good amount to take them back..3 months is not enough...,it can go well for a few months , sun eating out etc ,then all go wrong within a year...put aside money for the doggies welfare ..then enjoy in the fact that if all goes t..ts up, they will be taken back i hope it all works out for you and your pets x
