You are right, Shrimp, but myself and three friends are meant to be meeting at guidos on Tuesday to plan activities for the season for the Friends of spot. so, I am sure you can appreciate my concern. But I will take a look at the shop tomorrow to see if there is a notice on the door. Or maybe Lilli will post on here, but it is getting a bit late for today.

Hello everyone,

Let my explain why i closed Guido's before some tossers on the board start their viscous rubbish.



We have the opportunity to join the Green Carpet Bowling Club in Lapta and we will be the restaurant And cater in charge.

The place is in construction at the moment so we took the opportunity to take a well deserved rest.

I stored my equipment so it will be the same restaurant.

The landlord wasn't very happy, so i spoke to my friend Jemal from the Dragon restaurant and he Agreed to take over the place we just left, so, soon we will have a good Chinese take away in this side of Girne.

We haven't had a break for the past 6 years so this was a golden opportunity to do so.

I hope we do the right move and we look forward to welcome our customers old and new very soon.

Guido, I agree with your sentiment. But, with Lilli especially, and you being members of the board why didn't you just post the news? You've posted menus, threats of closing down before, calls for help with dogs and rehoming. A simple, we're closing but opening up soon elsewhere post would have prevented any "vicious rubbish" IMHO.

sorry I meant to put an add on for Berilela. I was hoping to see you at the market today to see if you can help me. We will probably be another week getting stuff put away and cleaning. Tess can stay of course but once we hand the keys over I have no where for her to go. She is going to a really good home but they dont get here till end of may. Do you know of anyone that could foster her for me for a couple of weeks. She needs the company. Sloan is back sometime in may and Im sure she will take her again. Its just that intrim period. yogi I expected it, low mentality people who do not understand the heartache you go through. We are not runners. I would never run from anything I beleive in. Plus I would never ever leave my dogs. There was a lot of factors plus the fact the rent was going up from 550 pounds to 750 pounds. Its impossible to try to recoup. There was also other reasons which I wont go into here. Anyone anytime can come and see the stored equipment. We are so happy to be joining Martin and crew at The Olive Press, and look forward to welcoming my friends. I cant say more as I don't have dates etc, but we are here. At the market every Saturday, cookery course still running and outside catering we are happy to do. To all of you who have wished us well I thank you. We can be contacted anytime. To all of the charities our support will never end. To those I have given a voucher for a meal , we will honour it once we are in place. If only people would speak to us before surmising, i hate that, they will smile

Wow, The Dragon coming to Alsancak! You have done a good deal, it is the best Chinese in the TRNC. Not cheap but excellent food. Their Rocks Hotel restaurant is always popular. They used to have one between Bogaz & Famagusta which we miss as we were regulars. Good luck with the new venture.

I have been in Dragons a few times, at the Rocks, but must say that last time I went it was very average which was a disappointment. I am pleased to see they are opening up in Alsancak and hope the standard is back to where it should be.
