Hi,

Bought flocculant for my swimming pool, from Offsetsan, instructions are in Turkish.

Can anyone tell me whether, the pump should run or not when treating pool with Flocculant,

Or give full instructions on it's use.

Thanks in advance.

Mix the floc (about a litre) in a watering can, and pour in around the pool (as far in as you can reach) with the pump off.

About 15 mins later, switch on the pump running on the drain end only (assuming you are o/flow) for about 4 hours to mix the floc into the water.

switch off the pump and wait for the solids to drop to the bottom, you will be able to see when it's long enough.

Hoover the pool, hopefully into a backwash tank to catch all the water and re-cycle, if not to waste and feel guilty doing it.

Make sure you backwash/rinse after to clear any muck from he filter, again to your carefully installed backwash tank.

At least once a year, hoover the balance tank too, saves a build up of muck in there too, and if like many your b/t isn't tiled, there's an easy and very useful job to do this winter. helps keep it cleaner.

Hi Brian24001

Followed your instructions, almost!!!

Mixed in Flocculant into pool.

Left pump off for app 36 hours.

Then vacuumed to waste, bypassing the filter,

into my empty balance tank,

attaching a hose from waste into balance tank.

Will leave that till clear.

Then pump clear water back into pool.

Then using a submersible pump,

empty residue and clean balance tank.

Pool looks the best it's been for months,

Thanks' for your help Brian
