Does anyone have a solar powered swimming pool pump (& solar panels etc) installed with their own pool in the TRNC?

We would be grateful if anyone would be willing to share their experience.

We are beginning to think about this option for our pool 10m x 5m, 1.4 m depth) as our villa has been without mains electricity (long story - Sun Villas!) for several years, and this is unlikely to change in the short/medium term.

We have a generator for day to day use but we want the pool for our young children.

Anyone with a solar powered pool pump?

I would have thought from a bit of background reading that a few people may have opted for this option?

Any thoughts appreciated.

Hi Neil - we were looking into either wind or solar power and a friend of mine on FB suggested a company in TRNC which specialise in sustainable energy and he suggested that we contact them when we are next over, so here are the details which were given to me if you want to explore the options:-

AGD Solar Trading, Ltd. It's owned and run by 2 German brothers and has been in N. Cyprus since the 1980s. The older brother, Peter Personn, lives in Zeytinlik and is a distributor for European renewable energy products, including home-use windmills and solar power. Henrik - the younger brother.

Good luck

Hi Moyra,

Thanks for sharing your thoughts/plans.

I've found their website http://www.kibsolar.com/content/eng/index.html if you don't already have it.

Hello, here Iam

the solar powered pool pumping is the best option to save electricity.

We just do install a system in Ozanköy, we are close to make it run.
