| Can anyone tell me where is a good place to buy a security light - here in the north- the sensor type ones - and how much roughly it would cost? I want to direct it off my terrace down onto my car below so I can find it in the dark - there are no street lights here!!!!! Would also stop my guests falling up and down the steps! Many thanks |

| I hope that you won't mind me adding afew general words on security lights here... I believe that it is important to restrict the illumination from your security lights to the boundary line of your property. This usually means pointing them down at a much steeper angle than you would have thought - unless you actually try it, and see how far the light goes - then you realise that there is no need to light up the entire neighbourhood in order to protect your own property! Security lights can be very intrusive if poorly adjusted, directing bright light onto neighbours' windows at all hours every time a moggy goes past, so please do cosider this when sighting and adjusting them. Regards, Keith. |

| Nunu, very generous offer thanks - hopefully our landlord will provide a 'man who can' for us if we cant install it ourselves. Keith, lack of neighbours here - but will be careful of the one down the road and the passing traffic as I do agree with you that they can be a be a nuisance. It will take a bit of adjusting to get it right. I don't need it for actual protection of property - i dont think anyone would want my renault - just for when going in and out and when visitors come- so I will probably turn it off most of the time.
