Does anybody know of a good vet around Karaoglanoglu; Kyrenia Please that are fairly reasonable. Need to get my 2 dogs looked at fairly quickly. Many Thanks/

I have heard the vet just past the Pine Bay Club same side of the road is very good, so from you under the alsancak arch & not that far on the left.

Not that I have had any dealings with this vet but accordinging to KAR they do not recommend this vet as it is not legally registered here.

I don't know about registration but we use Ahmet at the Girne Pet Centre (as mentioned in msg 4) and he is a very nice man. Our dog loves him and he has always been well cared for.

joandjelly....good morning.
As I said I have never had any dealings with this vet and I am sure as you say he is very good.
I only added the post to make oddjob and others aware that when we were looking for a vet we were advised of the above by KAR.
I too wanted to go to this paricular practise as it is nearer to us living in Karsiyaka but took other people's advice on vet recommendations.

I have to say that Ahmet saved my dog`s life and that of another at the same time when they were poisoned. I always used Firdez but at this particular time I telephoned and she could not see the dog because she was operating.
He was the nearest, so that`s where we ended up and I must say he was excellent. KAR maybe dont recommend him but I dont recommend KAR!

Highly recommend Pertev - he is a genuine animal lover, nice person and great Vet. I take my 3 pekinese in there : Morgan, Dylan and Thomas. Morgan is in love with his Uncle Pertev. Steph who is the Veterinary Nurse also does dog clipping - can't recommend them highly enough.

Just posted a reply but ...... it's gone! Can highly recommend Pertev at HosPetal - he is a real genuine animal lover as well as a very good vet. I take my 3 pekinese there. Also Steph, the Veterinary Assistant does clipping - I really cannot highly praise this practice enough. Just mention Morgan to him.

I use Pertev, because he is so genuine and takes such an interest in them.(MY 5 cats) He really loves animals. Saying that, one of my cats has car sickness so I took him to Ahmed - re message 4, and he was very good, very capable, but doesn't have the same softness as Pertev. I would certainly recommend him, as he picked up that one of my cat's had kidney problems, and wrote down the address of a special diet for her, and where to get it.

I also say Pertev because when our dog was very ill and i called him at almost midnight he never hesitated in seeing her even though he was out with friends at the time.
Genuine animal lover and not just doing a job.
