Sorry Darius, but with most brides 'obey' went out of the window when the groom would not reciprocate. Modern marriage is about equality and sharing, not male dominance! I did promise to obey my first husband who deemed he could then do as he liked, including bedding whatever women he fancied whenever he fancied, so I don't think a woman promising to obey does much to make the marriage work whereas the vows they are making today of trust and love and sharing etc, could make it work! Of course that says nothing for the girls who feel having a baby is their right and they will get it from a test tube. That is where society stinks.

so says this liberated lady, anyway. Who feels sorry for the MCP's out there!

Forgot to saY I HAVE a fab china mug my mother brought me in Portobello Road Market yonks ago. I just love the wording. 'I am the boss in this household - and I have my husband's permission to say so!; but the best thing about the mug is the gold edging!
