Are there conker & chesnut trees in Cyprus ?

My wife and myself spent sunday morning in our local woods with our three grandchildren picking up nuts,the sun was shining,the children were rolling about in the leaves,and i started to think,could i leave my granchildren to start a new life in Cyprus without them,plus my sons,who has made this decision ?

Why is it,you have over one million chesnuts around your feet,but you keep moving forward looking for some.
