Any reccomendtions for events to keep our 9 year old busy today would be much appreciated, and of course where we can also have a drink and something to eat

The bowling alley on the Girne by pass. We have taken our grandchildren there (6, 9 & 10) and they had a fabulous time. They played bowls on the ground floow but then we went down stairs to kids heaven!!!

they have loads of interactive electronic games for all ages from little roundabouts to harley davidson motor bikes. Dads & Mams can also go on the rides with the kids or just sit at the restaurant/cafe bar and eat and drink. You pay for a card and the kids can choose their ride/games and you just top up their card - prices are good compared to British fairground/amusement park prices. Great atmosphere - my big kids loved it too!!!!!!!!

Hildysmith, thanks for rec, went bowling yesterday when a bit dull, just thought it would be another bowling alley but was so wrong, well organised and lots to do will be going again

Your nine year old is already too old to become a World champion at chess, but maybe he/she would like to learn this game that will give joy for a lifetime?
