I have just booked a bargain on Easyjet for next Feb/March. Even with 1 piece of luggage, speedy boarding & credit card fees the price for 2 tickets was under £230. Have to say though their charges for a case to go in the hold are now extortionate - £28!

Not much different to Pegasus then.

When you include the cost of the transfers from LCA to the North and you can have 2 bits of luggage bewteen two people a total of 40 Kg and better than Speedy Boarding an allocated seat.

Prefer flying from Gatwick as nearer to home & with transfer costs brings ticket up to £155 return, which is not bad.

There are of course transfers from Ercan which appear to be misses when comparisons are made. If you do not use a taxi for transfer then there is normally the hire car to take into consideration. I would suggest that the difference between true costs of transfers between Ercan and Larnaca is around £40.

I have checked several times the difference in flight costs from the south and always ended up booking Pegasus. Check tom first as he will always try and get you the best deals available plus he is always on hand should there be any problems, dont think you would get the same treatment from easy jet or monarch.

I'm not sure what the attraction is with Pegasus... try and book a ticket for August and you'll find their prices at around £500 - £800 (for each passenger) is bordering daylight robbery! It is cheaper to fly from London to the US than it is to fly from London to Ercan (via a stop over in Turkey), I still find that it is cheaper and more convenient flying to the south than flying in to the North. More flight time choices and I'm still not convinced the service is better with Pegasus, even when compared to Easy Jet.

You also have to factor in journey to airport in the UK. I live near to Gatwick so it's further for me to travel to Stansted & more for parking, plus taking into account charges on Pegasus to book a seat the price works out quite a bit more than flying into Larnaca.
