Plenty to choose from, all will have favs and say they are the best and cheaper.

But i have used for over 10 years Cenk at Abant Cars next to Pia Bella, suberb service, family business.

no, sure it isn't. Nevertheless there is a remarkable range of prices and Horizons question makes sense . My recommendation is a-one. Good cars, good service, good prices. Police stopped me with an a-one car, because one headlight was out of order. After a short friendly

disussion a-one paid the fine back to me, because I could show the problem was a slack joint and so it

worked when I started and controlled the car, but the light sometimes worked and sometimes not. So it

was not my fault, I controlled it and it was ok at start.

Got to agree with Rene, been using A one for five years now always had excellent service and help and cheapest decent cars I have been able to find, they have just up dated their fleet and got rid of the older cars.

I thought hire cars were not able to cross the border. Does this really mean that we can be met at Larnaca aitport with a car for use in N Cyprus? We are new to the forum and have just purchased at Caesar's Resort Iskele.

Jerseybean - yes, you can, but not all car hire companies in the south allow their cars to be brought to the north; you would have to check first.



We have done it many times when flying into Larnaca, although I was constantly worrying in case something went wrong (whilst we were in the north) and about getting it back.

Cars can cross over to South - but you must do it office hours during the week, so that you can get a months insurance plus road tax for 25 Euros at the crossing point. Otherwise a quick trip to tehe border and get the insurance/road tax in advance, then you can cross any time you wish for a month! (you can of course get 3, 6 or 12 monthly insurance - the road tax comes free and I think is valid for a year)

Used 3 or 4 different ones and found A-one to be about the best all round, used them 3 times now and booked again in May. Always good with correspondance and Ismail always answers his phone and any concerns or questions you may have. They are about the cheapest transfers for Larnaca as well I believe.

We always use Gunray and they are very reliable - ask for Ozgur his English is very good. If you are flying into Ercan they will meet you with your car and pick up when you leave free, however, if you're flying into the south there is a charge for pick up and drop off.

We are paying £17 a day with Pacific hire for a good Suzuki jeep. Would highly recommend them. Their cars are very good and they provide an excellent service. Have hired before from two other cheaper companies and had problems with both quality of vehicle and the service. You get what you pay for!
