Dog Show thanks and results Ring 1

Thank you everyone (owners/volunteers/spectators and lovely dogs) for your support with this years Dog Show and Spring Fayre .

I hope that you all enjoyed the event - with everyones contributions and the 255 entries it raised 11,240.00 TL (which hopefully will keep the wolf away from KAR's door for a short while - any way there is no room for wolves as they are full to the brim with dogs !!)

The results from the show are as follows (2 seperate posts)



Ring 1

Best pure breed male - JASPER (Bichon Frise)

Best pure breed female - TUBA (Pug)

Best crossbreed male - BENNY (Pointer x Terrier)

Best crossbreed female - LILI (Pom x Peke)

Best puppy - ZEYTIN (Chihauhua)

Best veteran - HOLLY (Lurcher 10 years)

Best KAR Dog - AGGIE (Cyprus Terrier)

Best in Show - TUBA (Pug)

Thanks for posting the results, but there is one mistake.



Best in show was - LILI (Pomchi) (She also won Best crossbreed female)



Can't wait to see pics in this weeks papers!

Sorry - but i have double checked and TUBA did win Best in Show (photo can be seen on KAR website) . LILI was awarded Reserve Best in Show.

They both were gorgeous though and it must have been a difficult decision for the judge. I think they all deserved to win. Should be some great photos - i know that some more are being put onto KAR website as well.

I was just posting on behalf of Lili (the Pomchi!), she is wondering what the difference is between Best in show and reserved best in show?



the trophy was bigger than her bless her!

authentichoccie - it is like 1st and 2nd only closer. Like i said a very hard decision for the judge. Please apologise to Lili as we seem to have her "nationality" wrong - i keep referring to her as a Pompeke not a Pomchi. Sorry Lili.

I must admit i did chuckle to myself when i was typing the results up and saw

Best crossbreed female (and Reserve Best in Show) was ... Lili

and

Dog with most appealing eyes (and Reserve Best Novelty) was ... Guido.

Hamish, Lili was a little upset about her 'nationality' being wrong but she doesn't like to make a fuss!



She's happily enjoying her prize and basking in her new found fame!
