Well its always been a law that you have to wear a helmet on anything over a 50cc, but now apparently you have to wear one on a 50cc too?

This is just an indication of how farcical lawmaking is in the TRNC. Common sense tells you that if you fall off a bike and land on your head, regardless of the size of the bike you are going to be in serious trouble. It would be laughable if it wasn't so tragic !!

Sorry Cyprustimes but I think you misunderstood me. Personally I think that all scooter/motorbike riders should have to wear helmets. Hardly a week goes by without a report in the paper of a motorcyclist being killed or seriously injured in accidents. The government needs to take the lead and get serious about road safety, but as with most things, that will make promises and fail to live up to them !!

As A biker, forget the law "wear a helmet" and I suggest you buy a good one!!! a few friends of mine are still here because they wear the correct gear. Most accidents are at relativley slow speeds that a 50cc could achieve. With regards to visability just practise your lifesavers (head turns)
