uefa defend its decision on ticket prices for the wembly final , they say £150 + £26 admin fee for the cheapest ticket is fair , so much for the working mans game , fat cats and gravy train springs to mind .

I remember my dad going to Sheffield & Leeds to watch Blackburn in a replayed FA Cup semi final with Newcastle United in 1951 ..

Throughout the 50's he saw virtually all the Rovers matches both home & away ..

When in 1960 Blackburn got to the FA Cup final, he couldn't get a ticket for Wembley showpiece with Wolves .. The price was 3/6p .. 3 shillings and sixpence (17½p) ..

Any amount of tickets could be bought in large factories for £1, 3 times the face value .. These tickets were being sold on behalf of the players .. He couldn't afford to pay this exorbitant amount plus the cost of going to Wembley ..

He said if that is how they treat their supporters he would never go on Ewood Park again ..

For the last 7 years of his life he lived within 100 yards of the ground .. But true to his word he never did
