Gadaffi knows he is being targeted so why on earth were his grandchildren there and not placed somewhere safe!

Typical American cowardice, attacking a villa that children sleep in instead of troops or equipment being used to attack the cities. Of course they will not risk American soldiers to go in and take him out.



They did something very similar in Iraq too. They attacked Saddam and his family instead of the arms dumps, even after invasion, they went for the Petrol Ministry instead of the arms dumps, so now we have all that arms in the hands of the insurgents. Will they ever learn?

I don't suppose those children are the only innocents to die, perhaps Gadaffi will reflect on that now.

YFred I am not sure you can blame the Americans for this one, it seems more likely to have been the British or French.

Yfred, A video report on the BBC showed the destroyed villa surrounded by military installations. Having said that, we'd all rather chidren weren't caught up in this. But, I wonder how many child deaths Gadaffi is responsible for and will continue to cause if he's not stopped?

Agree, messages 4,5,6 & 7, and, as Nurse Chris points out, why were the children not in a place of safety? Method in his madness, maybe, i.e. that the house would not be a target if children were known to be there? Either way, as others have said, they're not the first and, unfortunately, won't be the last.
