Hi all

Does anybody know the best place to buy gravel and have it delivered to karsiyaka. Anyone know how much it costs.

Also does anyone know the best place to buy paving slabs, sand and cement again for delivery to karsiyaka. Any one know what sort of prices they are as well.

Is there a hire company there for a mini cement mixer, and again any idea on the price.

many thanks in advance

Try Ismail. Think he's based in Lapta 0533 830 0390. Speaks good english and supplies gravel and topsoil. Wouldn't swear to it but I think we paid about 100TL for a ton of gravel last year.

There used to be a place in Karsiyaka that did gravel but not any more. There is a guy that sells the paving slabs etc, though - coming from Girne direction you go past the Ataturk square and he is about 100m up on the left. He will also be able to advise you on the gravel bit as well.

Cheers,

G

If you are looking for 45X45X3 CM in Yellow or Red .... They are around 12 TL per meter square, and there are about 5 slabs in a meter.almost 2.5 TL each.

You could also buy half slabs (45X 22X3) at 12-14TL per meter square, depending on the supplier.

Hope this helps.

You can get slabs at the masons before the Merit turn off going west, they make them on site, check the thinknesses though as they do vary! Don't pay more than 9tl per M2. Sand is available at approx 40 stg per half lorry load and portland cement 10tl per 50 kilo bag at most Yapi Markets, specifically the first one past the

bronze lady on the left going west. Good luck...

They delivered free of charge, if you do make an order pay on delivery. Ask to speak to the boss who speaks

english, it might be by phone, failing that take someone with you who can speak Turkish. With regards gravel,

it depends on type. 100tl per ton sounds expensive to me. Why don't you have a good look around and compare prices. I understand there is an outllet in Karakum, near Lemar in town that supplies "chuckle" for around 500tl per lorry load. Sorry don't have any further details.

Mehmet Gagari in Karsiyaka delivers stone, gravel, sand, bricks flags etc. He will also find you cheap labour for spreading gravel etc. I have always found his prices reasonable.
