How awful for you Gates. We've been to the place on the same road down to Shyna (think its called Coronada or somesuch) Its the fish Rest. belonging to The Malpas and very good it is too.

It wasn't Gates spelling that got to me, it was the fact that I was blue in the face by the time I got to the end. I was waiting for somewhere to take a breath and there wasn't one!! However, think we'll give Shyna a miss.

Your question seems quite a reasonable one,why does he call you some kind of a NUT?

He Wrote two prices ( asked for the bill £160 tl 3bots angora) i must admit,i was a little confused myself.

Sad that you can get a slagging off for asking a question, dyslexia or not.

Before long every one on cyp44 will have dyslexia if he can use that as an excuse.

EsentepeGal, no need love I only feel so very sorry for people who have dyslexia and try so hard. Gates does so well to run his buisness here against all odds. My son suffers the same and it wasnt picked up . I wasnt having a go at anyone just thought more would come if it wasnt pointed out. I would never upset anybody knowingly xxxxxxx Thank you anyway xxxxxxxx

Agree with message 9 ..

We were very lucky to come 3rd in the recent "Pegasus Treasure Hunt" ..

Along with an engraved plate, bouquet of flowers, bottle of bubbly, there was letter stating a meal for 4 with a bottle of wine, at the Cornaro restaurant ..

We took up this offer yesterday (Sunday) lunchtime ..

It was quiet, not many people there hence the service was very good ..

The food we had was excellent .. Looking through the menu, the prices seemed very reasonable ..

Thanks to the Malpas for donating the prize .. Definitely go back .. The location is beautiful ..

racoonchic, I post 'nice things' about anyone who is intelligent, talented and kind.

Perhaps you should try to manage at least one post, where you say something nice about anything or anybody (and without swearing).

I don't know why, but these three people came for the second time and two of them did the same bad behaviour second time including shouting, complaining, accusing us for nothing. Really I don't know why? We are trying to please all of our customers.

May be they are good people when they don't drink, but their behaviour changes after three bottles of wine.

And I told them not to come again.

Their cousin told me that when they were leaving, '' sorry about my family, may be they are drunk''. I said ok you always wellcome but please tell them not to come again.

I really don't know how should I manage to please gates. I think I can't.

Sorry gates,

Please go whereever you happy.

Regards,

Deniz

Marion.

Shayna beach is a great place and venue.

Every where can get it wrong from time to time when serving 1000s of customers per year. My friends also have booked a wedding reception there, they will have a great time,im sure of that.

Im sure with the investment that has been put into shayna beach they do wish to get it right all of the time, but we all know we can not keep every 1 happy all of the time.

At the risk of being slagged off by members of this board (yet again) Shayna is a place to be avoided as our experiences from the infamous night of the East Coast Boys testifies.(see previous thread)

I wont harp on about the same old issues but, if you have organised a function their for more than a dozen guests then I would start getting a tad concerned.

Well done Gates... for saying it like it is.......people will always find reason to give you a bad time.

Well i went to a ladies in red night @ Shayna and it all seemed to run very smooth, and if i recall there was maybe 30 dozen guests there.

As i said before,in such a big venue you cannot please all the people all of the time.

Yes Kaiserphil.

It is a great place to drink and eat and work.

I am not forming a biased opinion because i worked there.

As i said, you cannot keep all of the people happy all of the time, surely out of 1000s of customers per year your going to get a few complaints,it happens,or is this forum about trying to kill a business if there are the odd problem/s.

I have never had any problems there i am sure a couple of adverse comments wont kill the business i dont think they rely solely on 44 customers.

Thanks for the reassurances from some of you for the couple I know, and to gates and co, I am sorry it did not work for you. But it is a bit like hospitals, some reckon they kill and others reckon they cure.

I owuld hate any wedding couple to have bad memories of the island (and of course for anyone to have bad memories) but weddings are special, aren't they? thanks for the feedback, folk.

Frozen veg can be better than fresh sometimes its picked at peak perfection and frozen not sat on a shop shelf for days or weeks.

Message 34.... No we dont have a problem peeling carrots, potatoes, sprouts etc, we do cook them fresh, not microwaved, obviously you have a problem preparing them, stay at home and do them yourselves, rather than posting on here moaning and slagging off the quality of the food and the places that you have eaten.

Gates,

This is your way of life. To go somewhere and create a problem to get free wine or discount. But that's enough. Even your cousin was embrassed from your behaviours at Shayna. Please sit at home, or go wherever you want to eat and drink, but don't come to Shayna.

I can't understand how can someone do this. To go a restaurant twice and make fight with the staff and everyone. If you are not pleased, why you came for the second time. You know why? Because you got free wine in the first time. And you tried for the same thing. But you could'nt.

Now I am sure you don't come again. You have to find another places to create problem and get free drink. But be carefull, because the other restaurants can also read these and may know you when you go in.

This is my last post on this topic.

Deniz

If I dont like a eating house and somebody else has started a thread then I will post even if it gets under your skin.

If you dont like my comments then thats unfortunate (for you that is) but comments I will make, and until I get the ol yellow card I will continue to do so.

No you have a nice day now.

Its good to see a business owner tell it the way it really was,and not back down,we all know the customer is not always right.

At the risk of pouring oil onto the fire, I have to say my experience is also very very poor. The first time we went we never got the full meal, one and a half hours between courses, but as this was the night of the Manhattans so we thought we would give it one more try on a normal evening and yet again a bad experience.

CJtill is correct, with an abundance of fresh veg to choose from, why do these so called first class restaurants serve frozen (because its easy)!!

Get Gordon Ramsey in, half the places here would be shut down not due to poor service (you can put that right) but due to poor food.

Gates, I appreciate the problems you might have with typing, but is there any chance you could put in the occasional comma or fullstop then I would be able to understand all the points you are trying to make. No offence meant.

and I am so happy because I know of a wedding reception there tomorrow, and I am sure they will have a wonderful time if the experience o f the four people today is anything to go by.
