We are coming over to NC next week. The people who are coming with us want to go shopping. We will go by hire car to Lefkosa. Is it easy enough to park? What about crossing over to the South on foot, is it straightforward? Any help on this would be appreciated.

You will need to take your passports.... don't go all the way there only to remember you've forgotten them!



Parking is not that difficult, the easiest way to find yourself from, one of the parking spots (3 YTL) to the crossing in Locmaci (Ledra Street) is to follow the blue tourist route line painted on the ground...



However why you and your friends over from the UK want to go shopping in the south is a mystery as the prices in shops like M&S and Debenhams etc are more than they are in the UK...



For residents I can see the draw of some of these UK high street chains but not for visitors....
