| Yep, For Sale sign went up early last week I think. That didn't last long did it? Just a matter of about 4 months or even less. Nothing seems to take off on that corner plot.

| What a shame - we were looking forward to seeing Cengis again.

| I was rather put off at Swells when I was charged for a G & T........... I don't drink so it was only a T with ice and lemon. We were also charged for a small bowl of nuts which were brought with our drinks. We didn't ask for them and assumed they were on the house. It took quite a few minutes to sort out both problems.

The rental for the building is £800 per month.
Who can afford to run a business/bar/restaurant of that size, with overheads like that, before you can make any profit ? plus taxes/wages/water/electricity/gas/KDV etc.
It's no wonder the place changes hands so frequently.
The only person making a profit is the buildings owner.

| Cengis is, as said in another post, just up around the corner and turn right, it has a sign outside saying 'Pub with no name'. It is just before the garage on the left hand side. Nice to sit outside and have a drink in the sunshine. |
