We have tried to download the Rosetta Stone Turkish language course. It downloads ok but then cannot play it as it says the info is an ISO file and needs to be converted !!!! How/where can that be done ? We do not have a dvd writer or burner.

Asked at local DVD shop and he downloaded it and said it would not play either and needed the format converting.

Does anyone know where i can buy the course or who can convert what we already have ?

thanks Lennythelion - i have tried to make sense of it but do not think i can do it without a cd/dvd burner !!!I am not too clued up on IT as you can maybe guess.

The freeware program "Virtual CloneDrive" will allow you to 'mount' the iso file. It can be donwloaded from here

An ISO file is an image of a CD/DVD. You can burn this image to CD/DVD or you can just 'mount' it. Mounting it creates a 'Virtual' CD device with the contents of the image. Once mounted if you click on 'my computer' you should see a CD drive (even though you dont physicaly have one, its a 'virtual' drive) and double clicking on it should open it. All this assumes that it is a valid iso file in the first place, which may or may not be the case depending on where you downloaded it from.

downloaded it from a regular site i use for tv progs - kickass torrent via Vuze. Do not know where the dvd shop downloaded his but it was from different site and he couldn't view it either.Maybe a particular thing to stop people downloading/pirating - i dunno !!!

I have all the downloaded files on my computer and on a 8 gig memory stick (in case i could take it to a computer/dvd/ps shop to do the ISO part that it tells me i do not have) - i am so disappointed !!!!!

If you know anywhere here in TRNC that sells a legit copy of Rosetta Stone then please say.

As for "what happened to pride" - isn't the old saying "Pride comes before a fall".

Not to my knowledge and I certainly wouldn't try to cheat a company by stealings its products.



If you want it so much, pay for it. But don't come on here with your iffy values and trying to get others involved.
