we need to get a UK birth certificate here in TRNC, does anyone know how please? is it possible to get one electronically? has anyone else needed one here and how didt hey get one and from where?

Yes, I had one for my daughter about a year ago. the birth certificates used to be short with hardly any information on them. Now they need the "long" ones for the passport. It was cheaper to order them online and pay by credit card. They promise to post it within two weeks and that is exactly wht they did in my case.



I think if you get onto the webside of British Embassy yoy will find the information there. I was given the web address when I applied for a passport for my daughter who was born in UK.

I contacted online the Registry Office where my Birth Certificate was originally issued. They were most helpful in issuing me a replacement certificate. I also paid online and they posted the certificate to me. Easy.
