The Answer for anyone thinking of purchasing anything in Cyprus as a whole is please DON'T for your sanity, for your future well being! STAY AWAY!!!! we will see if the courts/governments can manage to close the dreadful loopholes that exist in this mediterranean Island! If they can't then there is no future for anyone!

puwash, your real is not our real, if it were there would be no need for posts like this. Whilst you sit there in your comfortable 'reality' ponder this, what would you do if it had happened to you, join the garden features with their heads stuck firmly in the sand. There are 1400 plus waiting for the axe to fall, the banks in these cases are waiting to see the outcome of K5. There are many times that number with no house built, houses partly built, house falling apart from bad construction, houses without electricity or on builders tariff, houses without water, no planning permit, illegally built on other peoples land, and on and on.

I make you a solemn promise pugwash, when every problem is rectified, we who cause you who have no problems (that you yet know of) such discomfort, will willingiy stop posting about these problems BECAUSE

we too will be smug and comfortable.

pugwash

you may not read articles on the internet eg northcyprus free press and cyprus forum but if you did you would realise just how serious the situation on the whole island is . I can assure you knowing what I know personally about the stuations on the greek cypriot side it has reached epedemic numbers and people loosing their homes thats if they even got them built! plus having to face the risk of also loosing their assets in the UK as has been threated by banks taking legal action.

I have my own grievance but nothing compared to those people or TRNC victim or K5 and would do my best to support anyone in that situation as I also know as misunderstood says there is far worse to come for people if this whole mess is not sorted. I also appreciate in life if something is not happening to you and not affecting you people dont always want to be involved thats life but if you dont then their choice but then best to say nothing if not wanting to be involved. Purely my view

Pugwash (mess 2)

I know you don't really like me, along with a few others, is it because I speak as I find, along with a few others! what did I say in message 1 that was unrealistic? the Cyprus property market is a complete mess, and extremely corrupt! even though I realize that some are happy, there are many who are not for the various reasons misunderstood has already posted in message 3.

What takes my breath away is the happy ones, want the unhappy victims to shut up, and walk away, when it's in everyone's interest whether they have bought as an investment or as a home to stop the corruption! that is really hard for me to understand!

http://www.news.cyprus-property-buyers.com/2011/04/13/is-this-the-worst-overseas-property-market-in-europe/id=007431

In the long term it will affect everyone whether your happy or not!

A couple of weeks ago Zoots, or Pike, accused me of changing my stance on the TRNC. I have not, and will still defend the Turkish Cypriots right to exist. However, like many who have been actively supporting them here and in the UK, I cannot condone the complete inability of the TC politicians and Union officials to put aside their own self-interests. I cannot believe that they are all complete idiots, although this might be the case, but, at every turn, they seem to be deliberately making things worse. Allowing people to be fraudulently deprived of homes, they have legally paid for, is just the tip of the iceberg, and to announce publicly that they can do nothing to help is completely perverse and dose nothing but damage there credibility in the eyes of the world. For Gods sake wake up and smell the coffee, before you lose everything!

Troodo When K5 first became infamous, the government tried to say they knew nothing of our problem and why hadn't we approached them sooner. I personally having been writing to the former Minister of the Interior Ilkay Kamil since the UBP first took office. I had written to his predeccesor too. I have sent 11 (eleven) letters reigistered and still have post office stamped receipts to prove it. I have written letters beyond number and sent them in the ordinary post. How many replies have I received 0 (nil, none, zero) When Ilkay Kamil lost his government post he cried 'I have done nothing wrong'. CORRECT Mr. Kamil, you have done nothing wrong - because you have done NOTHING. Shame on you, shame on the government.

I also was number 132 complaint at the Property Complaints Office - now wasn't that a Government Office??

It is true, they don't want to know - it is not true that they have not been aware. They have known for years and caught a huge dose of HISS

Perhaps they are more interested in feathering their own nests so they can make a hasty and wealthy exit, before the Greeks or the Turks take over. Not much help to the average TC citizen, or the rest of the community - but never mind. Come back Uncle Ralph, you are still the best of the bunch.

Msg 9,

Bravo. A bit of humility can be good for the soul. But it doesn't get away from the fact that if, several years ago, you'd spent less time attacking and trying to silence certain members and more time listening to their warnings a lot of pain could have been avoided. And that's because all of what they warned about and predicted came true.

People like you, the former TRNC cheerleaders, bear a very heavy responsibility towards your fellow victims.

Zoots, I can see all the problems here, I am smack dab in the middle of them, that still doesn't mean you cannot be both, pro TRNC anti the problems. Love the sinner Hate the sin. Don't you dare accuse me of being a bottome licker, anyone who knows me, knows that I say it like its is, but I still want to live here.

Troodo loves his country, warts and all, and because he loves it, he want to see it do the 'right' thing.

It is exactly 3 weeks today since I was forced to go to Lapta Police Station on the say so of Akfinans Bank's Ertul Kader. I really had done nothing. I was kept there with IPek for three hours. They insisted I go back on the Monday to make a statement, I went, typed statements for both myself and Agile in hand, no-one knew why I was there, I was told to go back, I said no, you phone me when there is someone to witness my signing the statements that were allegedly so urgent for Monday. Did they phone, no of course not, it was Akfinans flexing their muscles and using the police to do their dirty work - intimidation.

Now K5 have the added expense of funding the electricity AKFINANS are using to 'tart' up the two houses they took forcibly and the one they did not (landowners) but refusing to pay for (stealing?? quick call the Police, oh I sorry forgot they own the police).

This month it is 430 TL, this on top of the fact that they already pay builder's tariff. More intimidation of the financial variety.

Does anyone on here know of a Senior person from Kib tek they could talk, that is if Akfinans haven't got them in their pocket too.

Financial Intimidation now taking place.

Akfinans are using the communal electricity (builder rates) to refurb the two stolen villas and the one that was not. When asked to pay the difference between that used by the rightful residents and the bill, they refused.

WHen asked what the residents were supposed to do, 'pay it or get cut off? Theft of Kib tek electricity, quick call the police, errr forgot they are owned by the bank. Shortfall of 430 TL which the rightfull residents will have to pay or get cut off - UNLESS Kib tek do the right thing and sort it out.

Does anyone on thsi forum have a senior Contact at Kib tek who K5 could speak to??

Read interview no. 7 in the polly and Pauline interviews. NCFP

I had forgotten about Pauline being asked to deposit 5000Tl with the court during her Breach of Contract case

the reason, and I quote 'as security against costs' in the event of her losing the case.

Now how many of you knew about that little gem. THe reason, she had no Kocan, why did she have no Kocan, because the Builder and Landowner had Breached the Contract, hence the court case.

You really couldn't make it up - now could you?
