Uniteds season has been no more than average .. The lowest points to win the title since it began ..

Had Chelsea not had that disasterous run after the sacking of Ray Wilkins United would have been blown out of sight .. At the begining of March they were 15 points behind United .. 25 points from the last 27 put them within 3 points yesterday ..

Uniteds home form has been excellent, with the help of a few referees .. Away form no more than mid table ..

Fergusons' comments to play for a draw at Blakburn are disgusting .. Play to win is the name of the game

I think this year, Uniteds performance hasn't been at it's very best but i also think it's because there has been a much more level playing field in not only the top ten but the bottom as well. At the moment with only two games left, nobody has guarunteed relegation or winning the title. I don't believe the sacking of Ray Wilkins led to Chelsea's downfall.....it was buying a shit footballer from the dumpsters that messed them up in my opinion. If Chelsea were really back to form and the better side....they should have won yesterday but this did not happen. I also hope that Blackburn and Blackpool remain in the premiership, they are to good to go down.

I can here the oversized female warming her vocal chords for a sing song in Manchester soon enough though

As a United fan not born and bred in Manchester,perhaps i am not qualified to post on this particular topic,but hey what the hell.Regarding mess 3,the premier league starts in August and finishes in May,a long old haul,where the top teams will sometimes play 60 + games in a season,if you include the cup games.The more succesful the team,the more games you play.Hence the great advantage of having a good squad.



Harita,your post in mess 3 mentions the sacking of Ray Wilkins "the crab"as being a contributory factor as to why Chelsea are now six points behind the leaders,with two games to play.I would have to say that the jury is out on that one,as there is no way that your theory could be proved or disproved.Are you saying that player power took over Chelsea football club,when he (Ray Wilkins) was sacked,and the team stopped playing for the manager.



I have said this before on here,this is the worst United side,for a few years now.But the same team are on the brink of a league and cup

double.It doesnt matter a jot to me if its the lowest points for a league winner.The only thing that concerns me,is the fact that no other team has more points then United.If the Wilkins thing had a bearing on the title,then you must agree Harita,that the fact that United spent most of the season decimated by injuries,must have also had an effect on the amount of games that United won.



What if this,what if that.Things like Wilkins, and injuries,are part and parcel of a long football league season.The secret is,dusting yourself down,and getting on with it.Chelsea had a bad run,so did United.But Chelsea never capatilised on the amount of draws that the champions elect had.And as for going for a draw at Blackburn,i would love to see a link on this,as it not Uniteds way.As for Blackburn,dont they play for a draw,every time they are away from home.

if this is the worst united team for years , then that dont say much for the trailing pack , those that have spent millions on a team now realise you cant buy the premier league , it does not matter about the lowest points total since the league began outcome is the same , team with most points wins , team with most points are the most consistent , team with most points are THE BEST , the cream always rises to the top , united will lift the trophy at blackburn on saturday in style 5-0 , then play the reserves against blackpool at old trafford , while the 1st team party with the fans , ps dont forget we were robbed at the bridge ? and so were spurs .
