Just out of interest, why are messages posted on this site Cyprus44 copied and posted on the site above? A message I posted here is now on forumlovecyprus. In this case it is not a big problem but I do think they should ask the orginal poster if it is ok, especailly as e mail addresses are included. Before anyone say I know this is an open forum, still think permission should be asked.

Re : Msg 2&3,

The most bizarre site : looks like somebody has a compulsive 'copy&paste' disorder!

I didn't realise that some people could be so fond of C44 that they need to have it in duplicate.

@ msg 4, Clarissa2: Even more bizarre: the site wants to leave no less than 12 cookies on your hard drive! At least one of them is a tracking cookie! Be careful!

Re : Msg 5,

Perhaps it is a Russian way to woo unsuspecting clientele.

P.S. Yes, thank you, DC. My anti-spy software reports make an interesting bedtime reading.

@ msg 4 and 5: Cookies are small pieces of information that some web sites store on YOUR computer. They can be used to remember your preferences (useful) OR TO TRACK YOUR VISITS TO ANY SITE.

The site mentioned above is forumlovecyprus.21.forumer.com - check your browser (prefs, cookies) and remove the cookies from this site or put them on your list of exceptions (if you clicked on the link provided) to be save.

P.S. Do you ever check and control cookies? No? Any idea then how many people/companies check what you are doing on your computer? No..?!

P.P.S. There are many (free) good software programs to control cookies (you can decide which ones to keep, which ones to delete and other possibilities). Cookies can threaten your privacy and can be dangerous!

Re : Msg 7,

Dear DC,

I do, I do.

For my work I have to access a lot of websites and need good protection. The worst are sites are from Russia and Asia which dump a load of nasties on one's PC.

Spyware doctor is a good but very powerful free program that will wrinkle out all those cookies from that rogue site. Spybot is good too.
