Sounds like it (a scam I mean). A call to DHL should clear it up quickly.

DHL is a scam, UPS deliveries are a scam, many supposed Facebook messages are scams You know whether you have requested something to be delivered to you or not. Don't open them, just delete them. If you open them you could unload a whole load of problems for yourself.

There are also a series of long Email messages purporting to come from "tragic cases" in Libya, Nigeria, and Kenya doing the rounds. Just dump them, regardless of how pleading and sorrowful they may appear.

I got one and as a matter of fact I was expecting one so took no notice and opened it

guess what when I opened the link

a sudden alert saying spy ware had taken place and no matter what i did i was no longer in control of my laptop even after restoring back to the last one

I had to pay off hand £50 approx to have the laptop restored which then stated i am protected for one year!!!

even though I had norton anti virus etc later my visa showed a payment to Abejhan sorry for the spelling

but any one wants i will provide more details and someone will know if i paid a spam mail

funny because my wife in the same week opened her mail box from supposedly a known person and bingo same thing another £50 is spyware a extra cost to our norton or mcfee anti virus?

From my dealings with DHL you can guarantee that any message from them saying that a package has arrived is a scam! From past experience, DHL Lefkosa need to be telephoned on numerous occasions before anybody ever admits to having your damned package.

Be careful..I am One of their victims. A man came to my place and said you got a parcel waiting in DHL. that much money required. Should we brought it over for you. they took 75 TL from me and never came back.

After couple of months Police caught that man..but released later on as he was Cypriot. Mental failure.

Not just in the name of DHL, I've been getting from UPS for ages and the other day from some company with no name, just saying Parcelpost delivery on the e-mail. Warning, don't open up any attachment, just delete straight away or send to spam.

I've had a few too. It is a scam. Delivery people do not email anybody, they just deliver.
