Unless you know what you are doing, selling a laptop (or anything with a hard drive) is fraught with risks. If the Disc is not properly cleared, it is the easiest thing on earth to recover everything you believe you have deleted.



Good news though if you inadvertently delete something you actually want (cards and sticks as well as discs) The tools are free to download from the web.
