My nephews are coming out over the end of May beginin of June and want to teach then to ski.

Many thanks

bybycharlie, what age and height (approx) are your nephews ? We have 1 pair that may be ideal for starting on, fairly broad at the binding, nice ski's never used they where being kept for our grandson to start on but he is to tall for them now. (also one is mono)

If you want them , they would be £75.00 brand new.

We also have some others on S.O.R. in Kingfisher, but I think they are advanced mono's.

Also have a few pairs of O Brien, combo's but may be a bit on the long side.

Many thanks for the reply,

The boys are 10 and 8 years old.

Do you think that your skis will fit.

Regards

May be to big for 8 and 10, its depends on there physical size. They are 1.4 mtr. the rule of thumb is normally the ski should be around 90 % of your height.

But with learning, they may be a bit cumbersome for a beginner. It is really important to get the correct ski, otherwise it can be very dangerous. I have seen many injuries.

Do you have a boat driver with experience to start them, better if the driver skis, or has skied, he will be able to feel what pull you need on the throttle, (very little with a youngster).

Our son started on the same size ski's but he was 12. Feel free to call me on 0533 843 6539

I think for 8 and 10 try to get some trainer skis, try Darrel at kingfisher.
