I wonder if it's the same thieves that stole my friends' pots in Lapta?

This is all such a shame. Another of the things I love about this Island is that the shops can leave their wares out all night, and they used to still be there inthe morning.

I do sooooo hope they get caught, the police have zero tolerence.

Bring back the stocks

It could be a lot worse here - just look at what happened to the 62 year old Britsh Woman in Tenerife who was beheaded whilst shopping!

Not something to use as a benchmark Judy....... they should do the same to him now. Picking a woman at random and doing that to her... Ba*tard!!

The poor man who has had his villa completely emptied of all his worldly goods (cyprus today) has really shocked us. Just a rather sensible thought. Could a description of the stuff be circulated on here.

How do we know that the thieves won't try to sell them on this Forum. We would actually not know that they were stolen goods that we were buying.

Is there any way that when someone is burgled that we could look out for the missing items amongst the items for sale ? Am I being daft?

Absolutely hate the bars on our windows and other security measures but they are obviously necessary nowadays, 7 years ago we did not even have to lock our doors! How bad is it going to get?

@ msg 29, simbas: Pat, people like this racoonchic are not smart enough to offend me. However, thanks for editing his post. He should remember how he asked the readers of his post about his 'lost dog' not to be nasty - because his young son might read the post. Unfortunately he has a very short memory - he was only concerned about his own son and the 'lost dog' post. In his own area, east of Girne, many people find him a despicable man in a different league - I won't contradict them.

Unfortunatly there is always an element that want something for nothing, we hard working decent people would not dream of stealing or breaking into another persons home.

but as i said hard working decent people !!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Lots of thieves lurking around near the Girne post-office, easily identifiable by their dress code of long black gowns & black suits!

Well, how about this one then...

We were in Waterfront, the staff put hairsparay, hand cream and baby wipes in the ladies loo. To add a bit of

extra for the ''lady''customers.

Twice now some ..................... has stolen the hand cream !!!!!...Honest, I ask you, who could stoop so low????

As I said, the girls put these in the loos, paid for from their own pocket.

I know that all the ladies in on one particular evening were Brits.

Who ever you are.... SHAME ON YOU..Go to Mr Pound and buy your own. Needless to say, the cream will not be replaced again, and I don't blame them. Like the girls get paid a fortune in the first place!!!!!!
