Far too many posts are still nothing better than rubbish one-liners in a low level chat room by people who don't understand the difference between a chat room and an informative bulletin board. At least AJ understood that the quantity of posts in a thread doesn't mean quality. So am I sorry that he left as a moderator? Yes.

DC - who said this is a bulletin board? More ads than news or sensible discussions here! I wish people would come up with more posts reflecting social and political views. I my add to that; the fact that a view does not necessarily agree with a moderator's should not be a reason to delete a post!

It's not the quality of moderation this board misses, although I would like to see AJ back, but the quality of postings. Let's face it most of it is mundane at best. 44 used to be informative, helpfull with a slice of the odd bit of excitement. Now you get more smiley faces and !!!!! than you can shake a stick at. I expect that someone will say if I don't like it then keep away, but I live in hope that it will revert back to the useful forum that it once was. I'm sure that AJ is sitting back and having a liitle smile.........you must miss him or you'd never have asked if he's missed.

I don't give a toss one way or the other, if AJ wants to call it a day then so be it. And as for those that say this board is only for informative posts, then it would be a drab and boring place, yes they have their place on here but so do the lighter posts. Also it is what it is a board for people to air whatever they want,and lets not forget they all have headings if we don't like what we see then don't OPEN.

I do not agree with the comments about NN. I enjoy having a laugh at his posts. Maybe we could all lighten up a little. It all gets a bit too intense.



As for the moderating, as they say 'someone has to do it' or 'you can please some of the people all of the time - all of the people some of the time, but never.....all of the people all of the time.
