mess 1 - i'd be very wary if the typical laser tattoo job was on a par with the average house construction...........

I'd have to agree with NN, there is one who advertises but laser removal done incorrectly can do more harm than good. Proceed with caution.

@ msg 1, LeyLey: (...) Hi, Does anyone know if theres anywhere that does tattoo and birthmark removal (laser)? (...)

▶ Maybe you're finally old enough to realise that brains cannot be tattoo'ed? Kind (and free) suggestion: try to implement some brains and only then worry about the outside show on your body.

@ msg 6, racoonchic: recomend? Hold the line, please... (Simulating I'm checking an on-line dictionary...). No, for sure now: it's "recommend".

Yes there are creams available but they only lighten the tatoo and it takes quite some time for it to work. Laser also will affect the pigmentation of the skin. Depending on how good the person doing it is will depend on how much damage is caused.

There is a guy in the south who does it Ashley Davies but not sure of his studio name, will check for you.

Also Tattlad visits the island regularly but not sure if he does removals.

Hi LeyLey, try getting in touch with Ashley, he may be able to advise you. He is in Penera in the south and he's good.

Good luck

LeYLeY take no notice of DC he's just a hypocrite, can you believe he posted this on the same day -

@ msg 4, nurseawful: I agree. I wish this board "employed" five AJ's, five Harold's and five Simbas's so all posts would be monitored all the time. Far too many posts are still nothing better than rubbish one-liners in a low level chat room by people who don't understand the difference between a chat room and an informative bulletin board. At least AJ understood that the quantity of posts in a thread doesn't mean quality. So am I sorry that he left as a moderator? Yes.

leyley

best to do some reserach first into this .

im having one removed in uk at the moment .

laser can leave scars .I had 3 people look at it and weighed up what was being said .

they look at size and of tattoo make up (clours ,lines ,age etc )

best option for me is a slow process to disolve the ink .I currently have had 5 sessions and its faded by half.

you cant do it every week etc ,as normally a sessions lasts 40minutes ,they retrace the whole tattoo as though you were having it put on and then you go away ...6 to 8 weeks later is the earliest another session will be carried out ....costs for me £50 per session and approx 12 sessiosn to remove

usually its between 4 and 8 sessions to remove it completly but it all depends on the colou and ink that has been used, starts from 50 tl per session.sorry that i cant give the exact price with out seeing it

Judging by Hans's postings on this thread I would think he needs cheering up. As his avatar is at least 20 years old, I thought I would organise a competition for a new one.

Here is my unworthy effort

Could be made into a tattoo and then removed during 12 laser sessions under anesthetic at £1260 cost!

I had 12 sessions done in the Uk around 8 years ago £6 to put on £600 to remove its very safe but quite painful as its like ba burn , disolves the ink with the laser.Gren is the hardest colour to remove mine is almost gone and no scar, the pigment is whiter but harly notice.

I think they have different lasers for each colour , if you hate it like I did then its worth every penny.I had it done at 16 in the army, found it hampered my career later in life in business
