AFC AJAX AMSTERDAM : 3-1 against the bl**dy peasants from the east of our (tiny) country, FC Twente! What a day! The team I've supported from my youth, Ajax, is finally Dutch champion again! After seven years of disappointments! And next year all-time star Johan Cruijff, the best player (and his players in the team, without them he wouldn't have been that great a player - remember Wim Suurbier, Ruud Krol, Jacques Swart c.s.?) will lead AFC (Amsterdam Football Club) Ajax to new fame. I hope all the readers of this post had a nice day - I certainly had..!

@ msg 2, negativenick: (...) does anyone have a link for google translate ?? (...) ▶ Nick, you changed your profession (screenshot available) from "retired lawyer' (LAWYER! Haha!) into "retired". You obviously didn't believe your own lie anymore yourself. And now, unless I'm wrong, you try to ridicule my posts in (an effort to write) the English language. I've news for you. I"ve opened a "NN-errors-in the-English-language-blog", especially for you. You write your imo despicable one-liners, full of errors in your first language (!) and I will quote them and ridicule you on the Internet. Why? Because you are the scourge of this board.

@ msg 8, gooligan: (... ) Fancy naming a football team after a floor cleaner (...) ▶ Gooligan, you're going to far... Bloody h*ll, which English football team can match this record (question free to use for Rev Walker in his column in Cyprus Today...): "Amsterdamsche Football Club Ajax (Dutch pronunciation: [ˈaːjɐks]; Euronext: AJAX), also referred to as AFC Ajax, Ajax Amsterdam or simply Ajax (after the legendary Greek hero), is a professional football club from Amsterdam, Netherlands. The club is historically one of the three clubs that dominate the Dutch national football league (Eredivisie), the others being PSV and Feyenoord. [more]

| [continued from msg 12]: Ajax is historically one of the most successful clubs in the world; according to the IFFHS, Ajax were the seventh most successful European club of the 20th century.[2] The club is one of the five teams that has earned the right to keep the European Cup and to wear a multiple-winner badge; they won consecutively in 1971–1973. In 1972, they completed the European treble by winning the Dutch Eredivisie, KNVB Cup, and the European Cup; to date, they are the only team to keep the European Cup and accomplish the European treble. Ajax's last international trophies were the 1995 Intercontinental Cup and the 1995 Champions League, where they defeated Milan in the final; they lost the 1996 Champions League final on penalties to Juventus. | [continued from msg 13]: They (Ajax) are also one of three teams to win the treble and the Intercontinental Cup in the same season/calendar year;[3] This was achieved in the 1971–72 season. Ajax, Juventus and Bayern Munich are the three clubs to have won all three major UEFA club competitions. They have also won the Intercontinental Cup twice, the 1991–92 UEFA Cup, as well as the Karl Rappan Cup, a predecessor of the UEFA Intertoto Cup in 1962. P.S. Every year many of the Ajax youngsters are "bought" by (non-)British owners of "British" Premier League clubs to help keep the game alive in the UK. P.S. You may know that some British clubs only have a "British" name - many of the players only understand each other after a speedy language course... |

@ msg 23: Oh, poor silly PB. This is not an answer but just a remark for the record. You're so new on this board that you didn't read how moderator No1Doyen defined the content and posts of C44 long time ago. If you had read it, you wouldn't have bothered to write your message - for all old hands to laugh about. Tsk!
