lovely afternoon at Buyukonuk yesterday, so many stalls. Olive oil factory there. The dancers in there local dress very entertaining so many people there.



Would NOT reccomend the pine view restaurant though, dirty tableclothes the restaurant used the same ones for customer after customer also charges rip off prices. !!

then again, last year's "love cyprus" ads on british tv

(for the other cyprus obviously!)

featured a beaming mein host arms outstetched in welcome

to his rough-hewn hillside eaterie...



chances are the family who arrived would be stung by a big

euro-bill after,

but no doubt lubricated prior, by southern plonk and aplomb

Well the Pine View has certainly changed then - when we have eaten their the food it has been very good and the place was spotless. The prices while not dirt cheap were not too high too?



Perhaps there is a reason to why it has detiorated / costs were high (have gone up) - did you ask?

I think I saw the "pine view" on the net but with very high prices

though on a brief stop there the cabins were quoted as pretty cheap

being a municipal outfit they do seem to cater for groups of locals,

receptions etc

having long made visits to buyukkonik would be interested in any

recommendations for good places to stay, in the area
