On our water bills this month we have a statement that we are trying to translate anyone help?



4 DONEM SON ODEME TARIHI 31 MAYIS 2011

we have found in dictionary

4 LAST PAYMENT HISTORIC 31 MAY 2011

what does DONEM mean is it something like LAND

31 MAY 2011 shows you the deadline of the payments.

Maybe it is just a comment for everyone as it is on all bills in area. We have always paid our bills within 7 days for whatever they were for, so should not be a comment for us personally also there is no charges quoted on bill.

I always pay my bills on time too. However I always get remainder plus interest for delay payments I tired to complaint too but could not get any result.



I think it might be a way to get couple of lira from each bill, which makes quite a lot amount from number of houses

The problem occurs sometimes, when the meters are read past the appointed payment date (this has happend to us) hence you're on a hiding to nothing because you can't pay on time and automatically receive a small fine!! I'm sure locals absolutely refuse to pay it.
