This is very sad.

This restaurant was first class offering great food at very reasonable costs.

The waiting staff were very efficient and friendly.

Terry is a superb chef and a very caring nice guy. He is going to be sadly missed.

Guido will bring his 'fan club' I guess but not all people rate him as a good chef.

As The Beatles sang.....'You won't see me '

Vincent, the lovely Nisha, surely the lovliest waitress in North Cyprus, is back working at Erols after her stint at ER's. Great meal and great waitressing by Nisha there on Saturday night.

Is Guido's restaurant still going to be opening within the bowling green "The Olive Press"? I see the question was asked but not answered.

Hi Everyone good morning we fly in on Sunday and are getting in the mood, especially with both the Sun and the exchange rate helping us to enjoy our stay.

We now have a third reason to boost our excitement.

I have just read message 27 advising that the wonderful Nesha has gone back to her real home at Erol's.

Can't wait for next saturday.

It's a bit like saying Best Charlton and Law are all playing for United again.

Or in my case Wilf Carter, Jimmy Gould and Jonny Williams are all playing for Arygle again.

I would be interested if any Arygle fans remember them?

regards

Doug

Message 49- Shrimp can I ask how many times you have eaten at Guidos?

By the way I have eaten there a few times and have no complaints. I've even cooked for him & Liz and I don't think they complained either

Msg44 - Aussieboy

I am sure Liz and Guido won't mind me saying that they will be joining us at The Olive Press once we get open.

Building of the green has started and we will hopefully be open by the middle of July.

Hope that helps???

Thanks

Hi Pugwash

I am sure Liz & Guido will be wanting to coincide the opening of the bowling with the re-opening of the restaurant. We will be having an opening night for the bowls which Guido will no doubt be providing the buffet for all in attendance and then I guess there would be a re-launch night for the restaurant itself.

All will become a little clearer in the next 3 to 4 weeks as we get to a point when we can announce officially the dates. I move over to the TRNC a week on Saturday (4th June) and we will of course update the web page to let everyone know exactly what is happening and when!!

http://www.olivepressbowlingcyprus.com

Thanks

Great. I know the people here who's idea it was to build the green who, I believe, found the site for the build and the architect and the contacts at Greengauge, and the people to build it. They have done so much work on your behalf and found you so many people who want to be members. They were bowlers themselves and were so disappointed when they came to he TRNC only to find that here were no bowling facilities here. It was their dream to have a green to bowl on. I would think that they are so looking forward to the opening of the green. What can you do to thank them!! It has given you a new life, a dream. Who would have thought it a guy from the depths of England finding out what type of business was needed in Northern Cyprus!! Well I never. You must have a friend who passed the info to you??? My friends have been of immense help to you. In fact without them I would think it fair to say you would not be building this bowling green without their help!!

Sorry my post was intended as a reply to leylanlad. Meant to say, I have been up to have a look at the site and by the looks of things I don't expect the bowling green to be open any time before September. The site is just flat dugout with some rubble laid on it.

Martin...............you, make a mistake! I'm not having that, I'm sure you was just trying to make the rest of us "mere" less than filthy rich people feel good, how so not your normally patronising self.

In case you didn't get it that was irony.....................but I'm sure you did because you clever rich people always do...................no smiley face, because nothing you say is amusing or relavent or of interest ............now that deserves a smiley face
