UK passport you can stay in the south as long as you want. Did same trip last week and TRNC car hire wouldnt let me take car so hired another in the south. Alternative we were quoted £100 for a taxi from Kyrenia to Pathos--each way!

No problem if yu are on holida here, if you are a resident make sure your residency is up to date and in order.
