Come to a fun music and art festival, Glastonvicki June 4th.

Lots of bands will be performing throughout the day and night, from Turkish and Irish folk to, pop and rock. Including Down to Heaven a young rock group from Lefkoşa, the very popular Outlaws and the AnarChics a great new girl rock band.

There will be craft demonstrations from a woodcarver, potter and a furniture maker who will be making furniture out of driftwood on the day.

Amphora Diving are sponsoring a kids’ art and craft zone with an underwater theme.

It’s a fun day day and night for anyone who loves live music and something a bit different, at THE BLACK OLIVE CAFE, JUNE 4, FROM 2PM.

Entry is 15tl for adults and 7tl for kids aged 3-16, kids under 3 are free.

If you can reserve your place before June the 4th at the Black Olive Cafe or the DVD shop in Alsancak, ENTRY IS DISCOUNTED to only 10tl for adults, 5tl for kids aged 3-16 and kids under 3 are still free!

Yes there will be some stalls and craft demonstrations from a jewellery maker, a potter, a woodcarver, a furniture maker, and Rab will be there with his CDs.

Don't forget to reserve your tickets, only 2 weeks today.

We are in Alsancak near The British Academy school - coming from Girne turn left at the Bronze Lady just past the Sevener Restaurant, then first left towards Riverside Hotel. Go straight across the Riverside roundabout and The Black Olive Cafe is straight ahead of you at the top of the hill.

Reserved tickets must be bought before the day and cost 10TL for adults and 5TL for children aged 3-15 and are available from The Cafe. Tickets are also available from The DVD Shop in Alsancak. The price on the door will be 15TL and 7TL on the day.

Tickets are selling fast, so get in quick!

Vicki

Looking forward to seeing all these bands, the AnarChics will be great, something different. + the festival atmosphere will make it rockin!

For 'teatime' - the Black Olive is in Alsancak, turn left at the 'Golden Lady' and then very soon after left again - at the 'Riverside roundabout' - go straight on - at the end of the road there is a T junction and the Black Olive Cafe is right in front of you.

It's a day festival, 2pm onwards - with lots of bands, performers, craft demonstrations, entertainment, beer, sunshine, positive vibes and maybe the odd hippy here and there, (that includes me BTW!) - like a mini Glastonbury... but without the mud!

Fantastic day! Well done Vicki and team of helpers

The Puma's guys took it upon themselves to sell wristbands for the Children in Need Foundation - 126 sold, so 630 TL raised

We all had a super time and hope you find the energy to repeat in 2012
