You should be able to pick your own price given the state of the nation's building sector....

It rather depends on... do you want splendid isolation? or a community on a complex atmosphere? or a town pad? or a beach? or a village?

Most ex-pats favour the Kyrenia region... all types of development are under or have been construction... more's the pity in some cases....

I take it it's a holiday home so you'll want amenities....

Hi Scampy

I have purchased a 2 bed duplex penthouse on the Aphrodite site in Guzelyurt/Morphou Bay.Restaraunts/pool/sauna etc all on site once complete in the next couple of months. It is quiet and peaceful with Guzelyurt 5 minutes away. Troodos mountains half an hour and a border crossing nearby. I have stayed in Kyrenia and prefer where we have bought much less touristy. Depends what you want at the end of the day

Regards

Dont even think investment at the moment, rather ,where is the best place to live.

Personally Girne town would be my choice ,a living town with the grime and character, rather than what are sometimes soulless holiday home centres..If you prefer holiday home type then Esentepe will probably have everything you want.

if you are thinking of long term rental then it has to be girne. holiday rental could be where ever suits you.

fire starter... why does it have to be Girne for long-term rentals? What if you don't want to be surrounded by the hordes of ex-pats?

I think one should come and take a look around and see which area suits your requirements best... Girne might be it... but maybe not...

Hi Adrian We have bought a two bedroomed two bathroom apartment on Crystal Bay Marina near Estenepe ,a five minute walk away from the new marina ,soon to be built. We bought through Evergreen Developments and will complete early new year and paid 46,000 pounds. So far no problems and after going in June this year the site is brillant and the finish of the apartment is excellent quality. Hope you find your dream property and an excellent time to buy, there are bound to be some bargains. Good Luck. Tony and Susan.

Hi Adrian

If you wanted an apartment in central Girne, I noticed one opposite the 'Wednesday market' today. A 2 bed, 2 bathroom, swimming pool on the roof, lift and underground secure car parking. Not sure on price but took the telephone nos. for a friend. If interested let me know and will give you the nos.

groucho

where i was coming from is the investment for living in or for rental?

i think girne is the best place for rental, or somewhere between there and the university. every year loads of foreign students rent and girne is their prefered location.

personaly i would buy for investment in lefkosa, capital cities always out perform other places. also there is more safe turkish title land there.
