We have been growing tomatoes for 20 odd years in the UK and every year we cannot wait for our crop to start producing so we can stop buying those supermarket ones. Luckily here in Cyprus we are now starting to get our first ones

Yusuf your link is not working.

On the other hand the best UK tomatoes I ever had came from the Clyde Valley in Scotland.

Should we bring our seeds from England?

What about the little plants we see in the markets = are they any good, I can never find out from the seller whether they will be little tomatoes or the huge beef ones.

We are growing cherry tomatoes from seeds bought from the UK and we cannot believe how quick they are growing. Another week and we shall be picking them.

Last year we had four plants that appeared to have been seeded by birds. This year we (with neighbours) are developing a communal garden along side our approach road (goats willing) and yet again we have just discovered 2 tomato plants that have sprung out of nowhere and already have one set of flowers on them.

Hi Alsanjack

The plants that just spring up are brilliant, no effort in growing them. We currently have coriander and potatoes which has just sprung up

Joel

The two wild tomato plants we are leaving (apart from watering) just to see how they do by themselves.

Martin

We feed our cherry tomatoes (now they are in fruit) once a week with a general purpose plant food called Fertisol.

If you want a bespoke tomato feed then Mr Pound do a specific product that of course only costs 4Tl.
