Not knowing either models I would suggest the Honda as BMW parts are very expensive.

Having driven both, I would say the S2000, less forgiving than the BMW (better suited to hair dressers), but a better handling car, provided you are happy that if you overdo it on the odd corner (the co-efficient of grip on the roads here is about the same as a roughed up ice skating rink) it will slide easier, and will need much more rapid correction from you than a BM will.

BM better set up for the pot holes and rough surfaces here though if you want a smother ride.

The BM will sell on easier here too and most people here value the image of the badge more than knowing about the cars.

I have had a Honda for years and the service centre in Lefkosa is excellent and not too expensive (40,000 major service was 390tl including parts). Don't know about BMW.

The Honda needs to be wound up to a zillion revs to get moving. BM is for mid life crisis 520 drivers. Assuming these are not for use in TRNC then get a Porsche Boxter more fun all round. Or save a few quid and get the latest 2.0 tin top Mazda MX5.

From the look of you on your photo, may I suggest a 'Hummer' would suit you better + you'd have more 'street cred' with the Cyps!

The more you drive in Cyprus, the more you'll discover: 'Might Is Right'!

Nobody will give way to you in a sports 'Beemer', or a 'Jane Fonda/Barbie Doll' Honda!

Take the plunge and opt for the 'Hummer'!

If you are thinking of importing either of these cars, bend over and drop your pants. Have just returned a BMW to UK. The amount of of import duty just went up and up until they wanted almost as much as the car was worth.

Only ever driven a Z4 for a short while but would definitely NOT buy a S2000 ! No traction control on it and it slides around like a good un in the wet ! Plus it bounces around too much . If i had that sort of money then i would opt for the Audi TT .
