With regard to your recent posting regarding your ridicule of postings by 'sad' people; which has been ended recently. I am studying History at the UK Open University (as you are aware). One of the first things I learn't, was that, care of your beloved EU, the use of BC and AD, has been replaced by the more polically correct: CE, 'Common Era' BCE 'Before Common.Era' Presumably, this is in defferance to Non-Christians. A sentiment I don't neccesarilarly agree with. Notwithstanding this, I think it would be more compliant to use CE and BC if living a Muslim Country - especially if demanding that people who post give supporting references - and conducting historical tours. This is not intended to be denigrating, or sad, purely an academic observation.

Re : Msg 1, You must have been reading too much Daily Mail recently. They usually specialize in such legends and myths.

I wish it was a myth or legend. CE and BCE replacing AD and BC is politically correct madness (again). I think the TRNC and Turkey's secular system is perfectly correct. There are places in Uk that do not put Christmas trees up for fear of offending the Muslims. Our local village (Arapkoy) puts up Christmas decorations every year . Live and Let live - just as it should be.
