Hi

The Kindle works anywhere! We have used ours in lots of different countries and they were fine.

Happy reading!

I just have a wireless kindle not the 3G and buy my books from Amazon on the computer, then take it to anywhere which has wifi connection, usually hotels bars etc and switch my wifi on and download my books there. No problem. Love my kindle

Although the map is not that up-to-date as it shows Esentepe (Ayios Amvrosios or Ay Kurus) with no coverage and yet we get Edge/GPRS all the time and often 3G depending on exact location.
