The President of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu has expressed he need for an agreement in Cyprus which will secure the rights of the Cyprus Turkish People and Greek Cypriots. Delivering a speech at a meeting which was organized within the Europe Cyprus Form in İstanbul, Mr Çavuşoğlu pointed to the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe’s position on the issue of Cyprus and said it is necessary to reach a solution which will bring a lasting peace and secure the rights of the Cyprus Turkish People and Greek Cypriots.

He also stated that PACE would provide important contributions for the improvement of relations between the two peoples on the island.
