Bob went missing at 7pm Monday 16th May.

Thank you to all, who have visited my post, re Bob, my dog, missing. I have now lost hope of finding him as he has been gone for nearly 2 weeks. Over 500 people have looked at my msg, which does not include my neighbours and friends, who are not on C44, and have constantly been on the look out. I do not think he has been poisoned,or bitten by a snake, as I believe his body would have been found.. The only conclusion I can draw is that someone may have accidentally run him over and then panicked and dumped him.. The best I can hope for is that he is in doggy heaven, giving Rick the run around, tread softly, my angels.. x

and thanks to the crank caller, last week, pretending to have found him, before having ascertained where I live! Ever heard of "karma"?

Thank you for your kind message. It could have been Bob, as he used to stay around that area, for periods of time, when I was away in UK. I have been touring the area in the hope that he may have gone there. I also visited Petlife, vets, the day after he went missing, which is at back of Starling, they know him, and in the street next to where he used to stay with my friends, who have since moved. He is quite well known around Catalkoy, Ozankoy and Dozankoy, if anyone has any news at all, good or bad.....please tel 0533 841 6057.

Never give up hope. Pointers are hunting dogs and they are valued in Cyprus. He may well have been stolen. The problem you have is that the hunters keep their dogs in cages so you will not come across it that easily.

Thank you for that.. It has given me hope as although he is a Pointer, almost thoroughbred, not trainable. Once they open the cage, he would "be off like, the bride,s nightie" as my husband would say!

Please put "Bob" 0533 8 416057 in your phone.

If you can print off a copy of the picture of Bob......stick it in your car.

If you spot a dog on your travels that matches the description of Vikki's beloved pet, please give her a ring

and let her know the location.

Vikki, I really hope that Bob is located and reunited with you.....he really is a lovely looking dog and I am sure that wherever he is, he is missing you as much as you are missing him.

Kind Regards

Judy

Vicki, One thought, my friends near Karmi, had a black and white pointer that had wondered and somehow fell into an empty pool which even on the shallow side was too high to get out. Though this was only about 7 or 8 houses away we had gone right by it, but because it was on private property and the people were gone, had not gone and looked right down into the pool. The dog had become weak, but did survive and then back to his normal self in a week or two, but had lost a tremendous amount of weight. We had a number of times gone right by that pool calling out his name. But I think in his weakened state had a hard time barking. Only when my friends wife on a walk went through a gate and looked right down into the pool did we see him. A second thought, a TC friend is a vet. He sees lots of dogs. I think the person who said he was taken because he is a nice hunting dog could be right. Let the vets know and send them a picture of Bob. I am sure they would keep an eye out for you.

I see loads of dogs and Bob is extremely noticeable because he has all that the locals are looking for in a hunting dog e.g. colour that blends in with the surrounding soil and yellowing vegetation, alert eyes, perfect shaped head and ears. This unfortunately could be his downfall, he is eminently stealable. Sorry if I've missed this in an earlier post, but was he micro-chipped because if he was seen on someone else property or chained up, you would need to be able to prove he was yours. I do hope he turns up because he's a real beauty.

Thank you for your comment, re the pools, was one of the first places I thought he might be, all my neighbours, with/without pools are on the lookout, together with various pool cleaning companies, and do not think that this is where he went, also he is extremely afraid of water, thanks again though

Never give up hope dogs sometimes take longer to return home than one would expect because like kids they stop to make friends and play along the way but in the end I believe he will come home: Seen his photo . . . He is beautiful a lot like our "Champ" but more pure breed we are currently in Germany for the sixth time with him so thinking of a name change to Jetsetter . . . Lots of air miles but still goes as cargo as excess weight costing 250 euro each direction . . . Keep the faith Bob is lovely and will find his way back to his loving home.
