I know it might sound silly but I can testify that this does work very well as long as it is not used in very sensitive areas.

A layer of toothpaste around 1mm thick over sunburnt areas is great, in my experience. I sunburnt the tops of my feet rally badly and the cooling and soothing affect if toothpaste was great. If you think about it toothpaste is an anaesthetic, an anti-inflammatory and and fights infections (fogot the word for that).

I left it on for about 6 hours but I think that was a joke by the person who advised me so they could see me walking around with white coated feet all night in the bar, I didn't care to be honest, it is not the worst I have looked in a bar.

I would only suggest not to put it on your sunburnt nose, it is soothing however the menthol fumes going in your eyes is a little distressing and you can't stop crying for hours

I learned this 'trick' in Northern Queensland:



Cut a ripe, juicy, tomato in half ['Beefsteak' or 'Field Tomato' best variety to use] and dab on any sunburned areas of skin - even face and nose!



You can gobble up the 'Tom' afterwards - but best if you don't have too many oozing pustules on ya 'dial', or bum!

The inside skin of melon is great as well as it cools and moisturises at the same time.



Or even just plain yoghurt does the trick.

Please do not try that at home, only trained porn stars should even attempt the toothpaste on the willy technique, if toothpast on the nose makes you cry, imagine what toothpaste on the nether regions would do to you, ooouuuucccchhhh !!!!!
