It's free because advertisers pay them - 'coz they push ads you..



A lot of folks don't want that - they JUST want a Virtual PRIVATE Network....



Using expatshield takes the 'Private' out of your usage..



If I'm doing UK related banking, etc, I don't want that to be anyone's business

I personally use a service from http://www.vpnuk.net along with Marks free service as a backup (thanks again Mark). I have found both the service and support to be generally reliable and good. Having said that there are as you can see many alternatives, free and not free.

I use hipeIPvpn and found it to be the cheapest and most reliable - even works with Sky Player.

Don't have a bloody clue but so envious of people who can use BBC iplayer. I also pay for Sky in the UK and it annoys me that I cannot watch the odd programme here.
