Last night my internet connection went down. First dropped packets between me and the wireless AP on the roof, then general failures, then unable to even connect and get IP settings via DHCP.



Phone my service agents in the morning, Bortec. 5pm Bora comes to see me. A bit of testing and climbing on the roof and its clear that the sun has done its work , cat5 cable craked and broken in several places. He dicides to not just replace the cable but to re position the wifi box on roof to point to a different base station, so new cable run will be shorter and less exposed to sun in future. All in a couple of hours of solid work. All fixed and running again the same day the fault reported and no charge.



So big thank you from me to Bora and Bortec. Great service all round.
