Our camera broke whilst on holiday couple of years back and we searched around Girne for a replacement and I couldn't believe the prices. Even the most basic camera was over £100 comparable to a £30 or £40 budget camera here in UK. To be fair to the traders most of that is import duties and tax. Why do they keep import duties so high?? Surely it only serves to hurt the economy and not help it?

I know how hard it is to import goods and sell at a reasonable price - it's almost impossible with tax and duties being so high - thats why we no longer do it. I am fast coming to the conclusion that as long as the Gov. coffers are being topped up the rest of us (retailers) can go hang!!

far far cheaper to buy in the uk or duty free...



us brits are sick and fed up of rip off prices in the trnc.



and what after sales service do you offer if they break ? - presume send back to turkey and wait months ?
