Hand luggage flying with Thomas cook

I am flying with Thomas cook out of Larnaca next week. I dont have any hold luggage just my small flight case. However, the weight limit for hand luggage is only 5k. My bag weighs 2.5k when empty!!.

My question is do they weigh the hand luggage?

they are entitled to and can charge. Having said that no one weighed my rucksack I was carrying and I saw many more with much larger hand luggage. Just be prepared to hand it in as hold luggage if you get a stickler!
