i beleive they have the original 1 bank still open in lefkosa' i drew my money out 8months ago .... and you know it wasnt all that easy ... hey ,easy to put it in though ... but i had to wait 24hours for the money.... and then had to go get various papers notorized even though i had passport and other ID docs .. what was that all about ??? lindsay

The branch in Lefkosia is still open. Go around the back and upto 3rd floor. The girls are very helpful.

I withdrew TL and it was easy and instant. I had to wait 24hrs for a large(ish) sum of sterling but no problem with that. I assume the accounts were not in your name?? I just produced my books and passport and no probs.

the bank has now closed , anybody with funds has to now go to central bank .
