Given the large number of people on this forum who must be experiencing severe water problems in Lapta, is it not about time that Cyprus Today was bombarded with emails on this subject? It won`t achieve anything concrete but at least it may lead to the paper putting Fuat Namsoy on the spot regarding his failure to look after his ratepayers.

I am of the opinion there is " lack of water " only the gumption as to how to distribute it in an efficant way.



No shortage of tanker water @ 10ytl per ton only beledeire water at a fraction of the price......HMMM I wonder why that is ??

Has anyone got the e-mail address of Cyprus Today, or even Ian Shepherd`s telephone number. This is our 8th day of being cut off now. Our house water ran out 5 days ago. Unfortunately we only have a small tank which is on the roof. Tried to get water delivered but it is too high they say. Today have telephoned Ibo the water man at Lapta Belediyesi - surprise surprise - his phone is switched off. Anyone help. By the way - has anyone else been in touch with the newspaper?

13th day of no water!!!!!

It ran out completely yesterday and I rang 2 different water men but both their phones were off!

The Belediye came and turned the water on 'from the Karsiyaka end' (their words) on Friday but turned it off again Saturday! They said it may be another 12 days before it gets turned on again.

Why didn't they ration it from the start of the summer?

Plenty of water outside last night!
